LOCTITE® SI 5926 Blue Silicone Gasket Sealant – one-component RTV silicone paste for replacing, improving and repairing gaskets
LOCTITE® SI 5926 is a blue acetoxy silicone paste that cures at room temperature on exposure to atmospheric moisture and forms a flexible silicone gasket. Typical applications include valve covers, timing covers, differential covers, oil pans, transmission oil pans, water pumps and thermostat housings.
The elastic gasket improves load resistance and the shock-absorbing properties of the sealing surface. LOCTITE® SI 5926 is resistant to ageing, weathering and temperature cycling and remains flexible without becoming brittle, cracking or shrinking. Its very low strength also allows comparatively easy disassembly.
